  • What are Open Access publishing models?
  • How do they affect academic publishing?
  • How do these issues affect libraries?
  • What is SPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) and its role in the development of Open Access?
Jim Neal has served on the Scholarly Communication Committees of ARL and ACRL, as Chair of the Steering Committee of SPARC, and currently serves on the Board of the Columbia University Press. He is presently the Vice President for Information Services and University Librarian at Columbia University and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Research Libraries Group (RLG).
