Librarians' Role in Museums Today: How Technology is Affecting Them and Their Relationship with Research.

With about 40 persons in attendance Milan Hughston delivered an informative and interesting lecture covering the following topics:
  • The planning of a new library.
  • The changes that will take effect once the collection is moved into the new facility.
  • The challenges of managing a collection across two locations.
Milan R. Hughston has been Chief of Library and Museum Archives at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) since 1999. He has frequently spoken on library and museum collections at professional conferences and served as chair of the Art and Architecture Group of the Research Libraries Group. Mr. Hughston will speak on his experiences in planning and coordinating the research facilities in MOMA at the Manhattan and Queens sites.
