Theta Chapter Inaugural Lecture

"The Building is a Book:
Victor Hugo and the Textuality of Architecture"
Presented by Dr. Frank Greene of St. Francis College.

Wednesday, October 22, 2003
Pratt Institute Manhattan
Dr. Frank Greene Overview of Lecture
Our first lecture was a success. We had 34 persons in attendance, many of whom were Beta Phi Mu members. Dr. Frank Greene, Chairman of the Fine Arts, Foreign Languages and International Cultural Studies Department at St. Francis College, Brooklyn discussed how to "read" a building, using the Bibliotheque Sainte-Genevieve and the Bibliotheque Nationale de France as examples of "buildings as books."
